Laftel has set an August 28 premiere for its original BL animation One Room TA (원룸 조교님), based on the manhwa by Jibung, and confirmed the series will stream internationally on Rakuten Viki alongside its Korean release.

The animation rolls out weekly. Episodes 1 through 3 arrive August 28 at midnight KST, followed by episodes 4 and 5 on September 4, and episodes 6 and 7 on September 11, all at midnight. In Korea it streams as a Laftel Original, exclusive to the platform.

For viewers outside Korea, the series will be available on Rakuten Viki, premiering across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia, with Laftel noting more regions are set to follow. This gives the adaptation a simultaneous international release rather than a Korea-only window.

One Room TA is a romance-comedy adapted from Jibung’s boys’ love manhwa, set on a college campus. It follows Uyun, a life-sciences student who has returned to university, and Jinhyeong, the quiet teaching assistant in the administrative office he begins dating and living with, with much of the series drawing its warmth and humor from their life together.

The premiere follows a rocky promotional stretch for the adaptation. In June, Laftel pulled the original opening within about a day of its reveal after the vocal performance drew heavy criticism, and later rebuilt the opening’s audio from the ground up, bringing in singer Jeon Ye-chan for the reworked version. With that resolved, the series now heads into its August 28 debut.
