MangaGamer has released Hadaka Shitsuji – Spice & Sugar, the English version of MADA Labo’s adult BL visual novel fan disc, for PC through the MangaGamer store.
The release follows Hadaka Shitsuji – Naked Butlers, MADA Labo’s butler-focused BL game about college student Tomoaki Maeda and the Kamishiro estate. After taking a strange part-time job as a stand-in master, Tomoaki found himself surrounded by butlers and given more authority than he knew what to do with. Spice & Sugar returns with that same premise and adds new stories that branch from the original game’s outcomes.
In Japan, the fan disc was released under the title Hadaka Shitsuji ~Yarashitsuji & Yasashitsuji~. The English title reflects the game’s two-part structure. The “Spice” side follows Tomoaki after the original game’s true ending, where he is no longer only pretending to be the estate’s master. Now placed in that role more permanently, he has one week of free time and can choose how to spend it around the mansion. The “Sugar” side takes a different approach. Instead of staying with Tomoaki’s point of view, it follows the former butlers after the romantic endings of the original game. These stories look at what happens after the master-and-butler relationship changes into something less clearly defined, with each route continuing the aftermath for one of the main butlers.
Hadaka Shitsuji – Spice & Sugar also includes the bonus short story “Reminiscence,” which looks back at a young member of the Kamishiro family in the 1950s. MangaGamer’s release also adds quality-of-life features, including the updated interface from the Hadaka Shitsuji Double Edition, scene replay and an English-release toggle for adult-scene mosaics.
