Dwango has opened Tunku as a BL-focused subscription platform for video, audio and fan community content.

The service launched on June 23, 2026 at 6 p.m. JST after an early rollout that began in April. Tunku uses Dwango’s fan community system sheeta and carries over the name of KADOKAWA’s BL drama label, which was first established in 2022.

The new version of Tunku is broader than the original drama label. Instead of focusing only on live-action BL drama projects, the platform is set up around separate monthly channels for streaming, audio works, original voice content, drama extras and creator-led communities. Users can subscribe to individual channels depending on the type of content they want to follow.

One of the first launch programs is tied to bloome+, a video channel with plans starting at 550 yen per month. The channel will hold online watch parties where viewers can watch and comment together. My Beautiful Man season one is scheduled for July 10, followed by season two on July 17. The Chinese historical BL drama Kill to Love will also be featured, with episodes 1 through 6 planned for July 31 and episodes 7 through 12 planned for Aug. 7.

Tunku’s first original voice project is a voice comic adaptation of Shizuku Mitsuboshi’s End Roll wa Jigoku Made. Yusuke Shirai will voice Jun Fuyuki, while the cast for Arashi Koinumaru will be announced later. The voice comic is planned for summer 2026 through the Tunku Voice Theater channel.

The platform will also add Tunku Audio Collection from August 2026 or later. That channel is planned as a 990 yen monthly service for BL drama CDs and voice content, including older titles from the 1990s as well as newer works. Tunku Voice Theater is listed separately, with its monthly price still undecided.

Drama-focused channels are part of the service as well. Official channels for Fake Fact Lips and Shimobe no Ojisama will include making-of videos, special programs, livestreams and other content connected to the shows. Creator channels are also included, with announced channels for Taki and Aki, Amane, Chihako’s Seitokaicho to Furyou no Mikami-kun, Gyutto BL., Asui Kazuma BL Voice Room and nooto.PICTURES.

Tunku will also appear at Boys Love Tokyo 2026, which takes place June 27 and 28 at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The booth will include a photo area for plushes and acrylic stands, a limited clear file giveaway and an X campaign with an original acrylic keychain.

Dwango said the platform’s revenue will be used toward new original projects and media-mix development. Tunku is available through its official website, with updates also posted through its official X, TikTok and YouTube accounts.
