TOKYOPOP has announced several new licenses from its Anime Expo 2026 slate, including five BL manga and manhwa titles planned for release in 2027: Nasubitaka’s Love at First Howl, Kimnyeong’s How to Snag an Alpha, Greener’s Our Paradise, 10min’s Cold-blooded Beast, and Ayaka Matsumoto’s Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding. The titles were revealed through TOKYOPOP’s official social media following its Anime Expo industry panel.

Love at First Howl by Nasubitaka

Love at First Howl is a Japanese BL manga by Nasubitaka. The story centers on Tama, a human who was raised among wolves that can also take human form. His closest companion is Tatsu, a wolf childhood friend who learned to transform into a human so he could stay beside him.

As Tatsu prepares to take over leadership of the pack, his feelings for Tama become harder to keep in the realm of family-like affection. When Tatsu suddenly tells Tama that they can now have children together, Tama is forced to reconsider what Tatsu means to him and why his heart reacts so strongly.

Kimnyeong’s How to Snag an Alpha is a Korean omegaverse BL manhwa. The story follows Wooyoung, who comes from an elite alpha family and expected to become an alpha himself. Instead, he is revealed to be a recessive omega, a fact he tries to hide by living as a beta.

That pretense becomes harder to maintain when his body begins reacting in ways he cannot control. Wooyoung eventually crosses paths with Kyungju, a dominant alpha whose presence makes his omega traits impossible to ignore. Rather than simply submit to the situation, Wooyoung decides to pursue Kyungju himself.

Our Paradise by Greener is a Korean BL manhwa about unresolved first love carrying over into college. The story follows Maehwa Yang, a quiet freshman who planned to leave his high school crush behind after graduation. That plan falls apart when he discovers that Jaewon Myeong, the person he never confessed to, is attending the same college.

As the two begin sharing the same campus life, Maehwa’s old feelings return while their relationship starts to change in new ways.

10min’s Cold-blooded Beast is a supernatural BL manhwa that follows Chaewool, whose boss and longtime love, Chaeheon, dies unexpectedly. While Chaewool is still struggling with the loss, Chaeheon appears before him again.

The returned Chaeheon looks familiar, but he is not the same man Chaewool remembers. His memories are incomplete, his body feels different, and something nonhuman seems to be living under the surface. .

Ayaka Matsumoto’s Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding is a story that follows Tomoya Ishida, a rookie editor with a sports background who is moved to a magazine aimed at women. After a colleague is injured, Ishida is sent to collect material from Mitsuya, a popular openly gay writer known for his cooking articles.

Mitsuya welcomes Ishida with food, and Ishida gradually becomes drawn to both Mitsuya’s cooking and his calm adult presence.

The five BL-related licenses cover both Japanese manga and Korean manhwa. Love at First Howl and Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding are Japanese BL manga, while How to Snag an Alpha, Our Paradise, and Cold-blooded Beast are Korean BL manhwa.
