Team Jejungsin has released a major update for The Night at Barrington’s, adding full Korean voice acting and Japanese text support to the BL mystery visual novel.

The update is listed on Steam as the game’s 26.05.06 update. It adds voice acting for all characters, new standing images for Mark and Fredrick, updated background images and Japanese language support. The update also adds Ethan Maid Outfit Mode, a Tumblbug stretch-goal feature that unlocks from the options menu after players clear every ending in the game.

Known in Korean as 배링튼의 완벽한 밤, The Night at Barrington’s is Team Jejungsin’s first project. The game is set in Hepston, a fictional port city in Victorian-era England, and follows Ethan Miller, a footman working for the Barrington family. After the death of Richard Barrington, Ethan is unexpectedly named as the family heir instead of either of Richard’s sons. That inheritance keeps Ethan inside the Barrington estate for 15 days while he decides whether to accept or refuse what has been left to him. During that time, he becomes involved with Asher Richard Barrington, the eldest son who has been acting as the family head, and Maximilian Barrington, the estranged son who returns after his father’s death.

The game mixes BL romance with mystery, family secrets and choice-based routes. Players make decisions from Ethan’s point of view while moving through the estate and building his relationship with Asher and Maximilian. The game includes more than 20 normal endings, with badges and a collection tab used to track ending progress. The update also gives the game a stronger localization base. Steam now lists Korean, English and Japanese interface and subtitle support, while Korean is listed with full audio. A free demo is available for players who want to try the first part of the story before buying the full version.

Before its PC release, The Night at Barrington’s was funded through Tumblbug in Korea. The campaign raised 49,797,000 won from 1,071 backers, far passing its original goal.

The game will be going on sale as part of Steam’s 2026 Summer Sale.
