The mystery horror BL novel game Ooe (大穢) is getting a Nintendo Switch port, publisher dramatic create has announced, with release planned for 2026. Originally a PC title from indie doujin circle ADELTA, the game is being brought to console.
Ooe is a Shōwa-era mystery set on a remote island. In 1955, in a Japan still shadowed by the aftermath of war, a detective named Osaki is hired to assume another man’s identity and attend a memorial service on the uninhabited Ooe Island. He arrives to find a tense gathering of mourners with no host in sight, a boatman who never returns to pick them up, and a group of guests who seem to fear and resent one another. When a servant turns up dead, the ten people stranded on the island are forced to unravel their shared history and uncover the truth behind the death of the legendary actress, Ann Ooe.
The game began as a PC release from ADELTA, with its first part launching in October 2024 and a complete edition following in April 2025. Its scenario, artwork, and music were all handled by Rinko Kurosawa, and the title garnered a strong following for its dense mystery and its restrained, atmospheric approach to horror. An English PC localization was announced by MangaGamer in July 2025, and this Switch version now brings the game to console.
The port adds several new elements. A voice is being newly implemented for the character Hinode, with casting details set to be revealed in mid-September. The extra “case file” mode is being expanded with new episodes dramatizing the crimes, and the release adds multi-language subtitle support in Japanese, English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Korean, though the voice acting remains Japanese only. The package art will use a newly drawn illustration by Rinko Kurosawa.
The move follows a familiar path for the developer: dramatic create previously brought ADELTA’s Hashihime of the Old Book Town to Switch worldwide in 2021, adding new content and adjusting the adult material for console. Ooe for Nintendo Switch is planned for release in 2026, with a dedicated port website set to open in mid-September.
