Figure maker Miraimira has shown the first look at a diorama chibi figure of Yoshiki Tsujinaka and Hikaru Indo from the The Summer Hikaru Died TV anime, revealing the piece in its unpainted prototype stage.
The two characters sit together on a bench outside a small storefront, with a striped awning and ice cream signage behind them. Both wear matching short-sleeved uniforms and hold a snack. The storefront backdrop is a printed acrylic panel, and the two sculpts sit on a clear base in front of it. The prototype is shown in gray, without paint.
The piece is still early in production. The promotional image carries a “pending licensor approval, final product may vary” notice, along with the Japanese 監修中, meaning it is still under the licensor’s review. No price, dimensions, or release date have been given. Miraimira has said more information will follow.
The Summer Hikaru Died is based on Mokumokuren’s manga, published by KADOKAWA, with an anime adaptation by Cypic that aired on July 6. A second season has been announced. The story follows two childhood friends in a rural town: after Hikaru dies, an unknown entity takes over his body, and Yoshiki continues to stay close to it even knowing what it is.
