Jibung’s Korean BL manhwa One-Room TA is being adapted into animation through LAFTEL.

The series, known in Korean as 원룸 조교님, is planned for release in summer 2026. LAFTEL has released a main trailer for the project, describing the adaptation as a LAFTEL-only title and a LAFTEL Original self-produced animation.

One-Room TA follows Uyun, a college student who becomes involved with Jinhyeong, a quiet teaching assistant. After Uyun approaches him directly, the two begin dating and end up living together in a one-room apartment. What starts as a campus romance quickly turns stranger and more comedic as Uyun discovers that Jinhyeong’s reserved personality hides a much more chaotic side.

The original manhwa is created by Jibung. For English readers, One-Room TA is currently available through Lezhin US, where it is listed as an R-rated BL comic with tags including Living Together, Comedy, On Campus, NSFW, and BL. The comic was previously available on Tappytoon, but Tappytoon’s page now states that the series is no longer available there, with previously unlocked chapters still accessible through user libraries.

The adaptation has been drawing attention as another Korean BL webtoon project moving into animation. Earlier coverage of the announcement reported that One-Room TA had reached 7 million cumulative views and was named one of the “Most Entertaining Books of 2024” by the Korean Publishing Culture Association.

LAFTEL’s main trailer focuses on the series’ university setting, fast-moving comedy, and the awkward push-and-pull between Uyun and Jinhyeong. The project has also received additional promotion through related merchandise and a LAFTEL x One-Room TA x ANIPLUS collaboration café in Korea.

Some details about the anime remain limited. A specific release date, episode count, cast list, and international streaming availability have not been announced in the sources checked.

A separate opening video was briefly released before being taken down. Jibung later said the opening was temporarily removed after a strong revision request from the original creator.

One-Room TA is currently scheduled to premiere on LAFTEL in summer 2026.
