J-Novel Club has announced new BL-related releases under its JNC Knight imprint, including two new manga licenses and a print release for one of its light novel titles.
The titles were included in J-Novel Club’s Anime Expo 2026 announcements. Reset / Reboot by Ichi Ichikawa and Last Summer Sparkle by Long Utsumi are new BL manga licenses now available digitally through J-Novel Club’s website. The Despicable Duke Settles His Affairs by Miori Kayamoto, with illustrations by Karatsuyu, is also coming to print, with Volume 1 planned for December 2026.
Reset / Reboot follows Touma and Sou, childhood friends who now play on the same high school basketball team. After Sou goes through another breakup, Touma confesses, and the two begin dating privately. The relationship soon becomes harder for Touma to understand as Sou’s attachment grows more intense and Touma’s own doubts become harder to ignore.
Last Summer Sparkle follows Kyohei Kashiro and Eiji Honda during their final summer before graduation. Kyohei is unsure what he wants after high school, while Eiji is deciding whether to confess to the best friend he has loved for years. As graduation approaches, the two face the feelings and future choices they have been avoiding.
The Despicable Duke Settles His Affairs follows Kashimiya Tsukasa, who dies and wakes up as Heinreid von Rodvelia, a notorious duke from his favorite novel. After realizing the damage attached to Heinreid’s name, he tries to change course. His sudden shift draws the attention of Craig Bauer, the knight who killed Heinreid in the original story.
JNC Knight is J-Novel Club’s BL-focused imprint. The line includes both manga and light novels, with further release details available through J-Novel Club’s series pages.
