Libre has announced a new Animate fair for DAKAICHI: I’m Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year, with the campaign scheduled to begin in Japan this September.

The DAKAICHI Blood Wedding Fair will run from Sept. 19 through Oct. 18 at Animate stores across Japan, including Animate’s online shop. During the campaign, customers who buy or reserve eligible DAKAICHI goods, books, audio products or video products can receive one ticket-style card from a set of six while supplies last.

The new fair is tied to the series’ “Blood Wedding” material, which appeared as a stage-within-the-story in Hashigo Sakurabi’s manga and was later used for related drama CD and merchandise releases. The theme continues to center Takato Saijo and Junta Azumaya through performance, stage imagery and Spanish-inspired visuals connected to the series.

Animate USA has also listed several DAKAICHI preorders through its BL/Yaoi section. Current listings include an AR acrylic stand, acrylic stands for Junta Azumaya and Takato Saijo, sticker sets, a foil-stamped mini art board collection, a foil-stamped double-sided card set, a postcard set and other character goods.

The fair was announced alongside a separate event with Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro. The hotel will host DAKAICHI: I’m Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year – Hashigo Sakurabi Special Talk & Flamenco Show on Aug. 1 for one day only.

The hotel event will include a talk with Sakurabi, a flamenco performance, a course meal supervised by the creator and original goods using newly drawn artwork. It will be held in two sessions, with the first running from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the second from 3:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are being sold through eplus, with general sales planned for July 4 after the lottery period.

DAKAICHI: I’m Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year follows veteran actor Takato Saijo and rising star Junta Azumaya after Junta takes Takato’s long-held top ranking as “sexiest man of the year.” The manga has been adapted into drama CDs, a TV anime and the anime film DAKAICHI: I’m Being Harassed By the Sexiest Man of the Year the Movie: In Spain.

The Blood Wedding Fair begins Sept. 19 through Animate in Japan. Overseas fans can also check Animate USA for current DAKAICHI preorders.
