The danmei novel The Husky and His White Cat Shizun (二哈和他的白猫師尊, also known as Erha or 2ha) is getting a Japanese manga adaptation, with art by veteran BL manga artist Ayano Yamane. The adaptation begins serialization in the December 2026 issue of Libre’s b-Boy Gold magazine.
Yamane is one of the most established names in boys’ love. Her Finder series, an ongoing crime-romance running since the early 2000s, surpassed 2.4 million copies in circulation by its eleventh volume and is widely regarded as a landmark of the genre, with a following outside Japan as well through English releases of her work. Her detailed, ornate style makes her a striking choice to adapt The Husky and His White Cat Shizun, itself a story steeped in the visual splendor of Chinese xianxia fantasy.
The manga pairs Yamane’s art with storyboard composition by Nanaroku Takaoka, adapting the original novel by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou. The print edition of the launch issue goes on sale October 28, 2026, with a digital release following November 19.
The Husky and His White Cat Shizun is a xianxia BL novel by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou, serialized on the Chinese web-novel platform Jinjiang Literature City from 2017 to 2019 across 350 chapters including extras. It follows Mo Ran, a once-feared tyrant who takes his own life after loss and defeat, only to wake years in the past as his teenage self, and his master Chu Wanning, toward whom his feelings across two lifetimes drive the story. The novel has already been published in Japanese, and this manga marks the franchise’s move into the comic format.
